The Philadelphia mint (the only Federal mint yet existing) was makiing the Matron Head Large Copper Cent along with it's other products.This one has a cud error between K12 and K1. Listed as CC-1836-1 in The Cud Book by Thurman and Margolis. The coin has some porosity on the obverse. a piece of early American history none the less..
