Grading Your Collection

Updated: Oct 31

I will share here some very useful images for judging the grade of coins in your collection, pocket or wherever you run into them. Although grading is subjective, there is no doubt the difference between "G" and "AU". But when it comes to the difference between "G8" and "F12", things can get cloudy. Photos are much easier to use accurately then type written directions and I will add more as I come across them. You may download these, save and enlarge them if that helps. They, of course, come from various different sources and are not my work but borrowed for educational purposes. Some grading companies have a page or pages you can compare your coins to. A very good one covering most US coins is Photograde Online by PCGS.
