The 1852 Silver Three-Cent Piece, also known as a Trime, is a fascinating relic of American coinage history. Minted from 1851 to 1873, it is small in size (14mm, .75 grams, 75% Ag) and a unique denomination makes it a rare and highly sought-after addition to a collection. This particular coin is made of .750 silver and is in excellent condition, with intricate details. With its rich history and stunning design, the 1852 Trime is an excellent coin for a type set.  According to the Red Book, most all of the non-proof coins from '63 - '72 were melted in 1873.
