A popular variety sought after by collectors this beautiful specimen displays a Denver mintmark punched over the remnants of a San Francisco mintmark. The central part of an S is seen intersecting the vertical western section of the D. An older slab listing the old FS number (021). New Fitz/Stanton number is FS-512. Also know as 1944D-OMM-002.
The obverse has the appearance of a cleaning to us, thus a well below market price for an example of this well known variety.
