The 1955 Double Die was created when the Mint struck a working hub and a working die together while they were both slightly rotated differently from one another. Consequently, this working die then received a doubled die impression and in return, it struck thousands of Doubled Die cents. All collectors and even laypeople know of the 1955 Double Die Obverse. It truly is a thing of beauty, widely available but costly. High grades will cost you high dollar amounts and even lower grades you need to dig deep. This example is certified by NGC MS63 RB (Not For Sale at this time)
