Almost make out a date on this late stage capped die struck cent. 1981 or 1984 is my guess. A capped due strike is caused by a struck coin sticking fast to he hammer die and striking another or many more coins. The more coins the capped die strikes the thinner it becomes and the more details apparent on the obverse of the cap struck coin.

This example, most lettering, date and bust are discernible but weak. The date is questionable but fun to try and nail it down. Red Brown, mostly brown but has a nice toning my photo does not capture.
